Thread: Yosuke Hanamura - Q&A Thread "Good Answer!"

Do you mean being hit during the startup of Sukukaja? I've never seen anyone use it when they were about to get hit, I usually only see it being used to super cancel j.2C so I dunno if it has invulnerability frames... Those kind of supers have usually had it in other games though (Sol's Dragon Install or Ragna's Blood Kain)

I can see Yosuke holding his own without a Persona since he can still keep people out with kunais and go air-to-air with his j.A/j.B but it seems like he'd lose combo options since he needs 5C and 2C for some of his combos. I guess he wouldn't do TOO badly on his own though

Yosuke forum has been dead! Anyway, I have a question.

Has anyone seen some Sukukaja specific combos besides the ones that simply use it to super cancel j.2C (I think that's the only way to combo after it right)?

If anyone has any footage of it, I'd like to see what kind of different combos his speed-buff allows.

The only combo I know of atm goes like
    Transform Ripper > Sukukaja(cancel) > 2A > 5C > 66 aka Sukukaja-teleport-dash-thing > 5B > 2B > blahblah air combo
Which uses it both for cancel and the teleport-dash

    So like
I think you can use the Sukukaja-dash-thing to combo stuff that goes like (midair hit) 5C > sukukaja-dash-thing > 5B/stuff

The video is gameplay sample 4

Oh wow, so Yosuke's Sukukaja dash is a really far teleport? I see how that works now.

I remember people saying his dash in that mode counted as a hit. Is that not true then?

As far as I'm aware Sukukaja doesn't hit at all. That green aura thing is just for show.
No character has any particular weakness like they did in the RPG.
I don't know the exact time but there is a bar above his super meter which tells you how long you've got left. It's lasts a pretty decent amount of time. If you need to know in seconds you could watch a bunch of Yosuke matches and wait till Sukukaja is used and then count.

Hey I have a couple questions.
Does Sukukaja count as a hit and can it avoid a characters attack and have enough time to guard?
Or like can it be a knockback? Which are his basic air combos and how to keep them going?
Does Jaraiya have his lightning weakness in this game? Just curious is all
Are there any combos that can cancel and go into and different combos? Sorry if some of these questions have been covered or are obvious I just need to know because he's my main.

Again, no. You can cancel out of it, like in the combo Zorgen posted above but it does not serve as combo filler. I've seen it used after the R-Action counter and then it was followed up with a combo though.

Couldn't tell you the notations of specific combos but much air combo damage comes from the Moonsaults (j.236/214+A/B > A/B) and most every aerial combo ends with the Leaping Dagger (j.236/214+C/D)/Garudyne (236236+C/D).

Transform Ripper (j.2C/D) is good for switching from aerial to ground combos as far as I can tell. Again, could not tell you the notation of specific combos.
