    Tricky matchup. Not exactly sure how people who deal with her pressure wise but I can give some stuff to watch out for.

    You need to be careful with any type of pressure you inflict because of Naoto's R-Action. It will beat anything you throw after 5C including 5D, and Elizabeth has some holes in her pressure i.e stuff into > 5B, JB > stuff. If you knock Naoto away, bringing her back with SB.Agi may be a bad idea because again it will lose to her R-Action. To disrupt the opponent's input, I suggest going for D.Agi instead at times. The reduced recovery will give you the attempt to dodge the shot she fires at you if she counters it, and if she counters it early, you'll only get CH. The difference here is that she will need to time the R-Action with D.Agi, but with SB.Agi she can immediately use it on her wakeup.

    So naoto has been blowing me up free as of late. I have no idea how this match up works. I tried playin it patiently a bit and i'm gettin shot at and I tried rushdown a bit but her traps would get me. I also learned the hard way how her IK is unblockable....

    I haven't had time to sit down and take this to the lab but I feel as if I should apply pressure and sit back a bit all at once. I also think she can get hit during IK or there must be a way to avoid it. lol theories is all I got right now

    So how are you guys dealing with naoto?

    Try playing along with Naoto in the lame game department with mixing it up between both A and B Maziodyne's (A has faster start up but slower recovery, so watch out in using this as Naoto's Aim will probably tag you; B has slower start up but faster recovery). If you're willing to spend 25 SP and you catch Naoto waiting for you to do something (Which of course should be easy to come by with Elizabeth due to obvious reasons I won't mention), use a SB Maragidyne, which forces Naoto to block and pulls her into your range for more pressure. If it hits, convert into an appropriate combo. Try to play as lame as possible until the Naoto gets impatient and starts rushing in. If they they try to jump in with her j.C, use a well spaced 2B or 5C and convert into a combo.

    If the combo you land ends with j.C, you now force Naoto to play a guessing game and it makes it easier for you since she has no real reversal other than her gimmicky F-Action that can reverse momentum and remove 3 counts off of your Fate Counter so don't be too eager. If Naoto also has at least 25 SP, be prepared for a SB Aim where Naoto rolls a few meters in front of her, possibly crossing her opponent up if they're too close.

    Can't hit Naoto for a long time when she is using the IK but it isn't hard to avoid and she is vulnerable for a good bit after.

    Just have to get in on Naoto and get pressure on her with 5B and 5C where she can't poke you. Once you are in it isn't too difficult to win from there its just guessing right to get in on the gun is the hard part.

    One of the things to look out for is that she can R-Action Thanatos grab, 2C and 5C from any range so be on the lookout for that when pressuring and try and learn the distances where you can pop the shield and still block.

    This matchup is kind of whoever gets the first clean hit wins though so it can be pretty dumb lol.

    So its like I thought its a retarded match up then :/

    I have been using sb.agi a lot in this match so I guess I do have to apply pressure and play lame for a bit. Definitely going to start using B.maziodyne more since I was using the A version the most hence why I was gettin hit by naotos gun. I just figured out how retardedly easy it is to avoid her IK too lol

    Now its funny that you guys mention her B+D so far I havent played anyone that made use of it but fooling around just now and I found out that the first hit of 5C on impact with her B+D would make naotos B+D counter shot wiff? and the second hit of 5C would continue and cause a counter hit.

    Wish I could record this but it seems a bit impractical at the moment because the only way to make it work is if the tip of thanatos sword would hit her B+D. Dunno if its a glitch or not but so far I cant look into it any further at the moment now but it would be interesting enough if we can find a set up for this lol

    I dunno. The B version seems risky to use as well because a seasoned Naoto player can see that coming and react with R-action.

    Btw, I only moved the posts because I figured it'll get into a long discussion (which is all good but it wasn't in the appropriate place).

    Do note that if we see the SB Maragidyne coming, we can simply F-Action you for free from across the screen and gain momentum from there. Not sure if we can punish an A Maziodyne with her F-Action though, will test out later.

    I'm not sure you can react to A.Zio with her counter, as it's pretty fast, but like they already mentioned, you can just block it and shoot her.

    Not really looking forward to this match up. Maybe it's just me being new at the game, but all the characters that can projectile zone ground to air seem like they are going to be trouble for Liz. JB is great for people that are coming at you, but you really have to be careful not to get ched by things like Aigis 2b. I guess zioing those characters enough to get them to stop trying to zone is the answer?

    If a Naoto is trying to get in your face, 5B should be a sufficient spacing tool as you don't want Naoto to pressure and/or mix you up with her 5A. It was pretty successful at keeping me out, but beware that Naoto (or pretty much everybody?) can sweep you for free if they start to catch onto it.
