Not entirely sure how to deal with this match-up, since I barely understand her gameplay. I can use 8C to close the gap, but I have trouble dealing with her 5B and j.B. Also, I tend to get caught with the 5C > 2C/5D stuff. Heck, I have no idea how to deal with her persona. What do you guys do VS her?

When Elizabeth is attacking you with Thanatos, block block block block block until you see him pause slightly. The moment you see him pause, hit him with a 5A, he's most likely going for command grab and you knock a card off him. Persona breaking Elizabeth is a HUGE advantage.

You have to try and attack in tandem with Asterius. When you hit 8C, try to go in and attack while he uppercuts, so that it's unsafe for Elizabeth to try to counter attack. If that's not an option, you have to play patient then. Close the gap after 8C, but wait for her to do something stupid before attacking. Badly spaced lasers are extremely free punish (and meter!), so look out for those.

The thing about punishing 5C with 5A is some do a delay 2C and the auto guard eats it and gives a free CH. Either I'm getting out the wrong way or the opponent makes good guesses/reads and stops all my attempts of getting out by using 2C, 5D, j.D and 214A/B (whatever the input for bufu is).

I guess I need to follow the patient path and slowly advance towards Liz. I usually just go aggressive and jump in brandishing SLab's axe without any thought, except that hasn't been working out for me, so.....

Go in training mode as Elizabeth and spam Thanatos attacks to recognize his start-up animations. 5D is really distinct (in my opinion), it's very simple to punish as long as you aren't trying to do anything else. No one else has the fortune of having persona autoguard (and the misery of having it always out) but Shadow, a single tap on them will take a card.

Approaching Elizabeth can be difficult, but once you get in, pressure only stops when you accidentally fall for her DP (which I recommend just doing single-hit + Asterius blockstrings if it's a problem). Elizabeth is definitely an enemy to impatience, you have to sit down and watch her until you spot a good opportunity, otherwise it's just starting all over again.

2C - If you block it, is possible to punish with 5A (if you're near the corner, Liz could possibly punish you)
5D - You can jump backward (to evade the command grab) and jA (to hit the persona).
    jB - 2B anti air.
