Having a lot of trouble in this matchup. Changing up the timing of laser to make it hard to use counter works ok, but I still can't find a solid gameplan vs him. If anyone has tech/info please share.

Explain the difficulties you have in this match up, getting hit often by certain attacks? Punish certain tactics of yours?

Counter makes slab oki much harder, can't find a way to use anything but laser cause he can counter the other options on reaction, once counter activates its unblockable and even if I avoid the unblockable cloud can't find a way to punish it. Teddies 2b is also one of the best at AA'ing Lab/Slab JB's. This forces a ground game but hes much better on the ground, and hes one of the best at breaking persona with bat/items.

True that Teddie outranges slabby in many terms but most of his attacks aint instant except his 5B. Like Mitsuru, You'll seem to have to bait his attacks. A Whiffed 5A or Sweep is highly punishable by 5B counter, you can also fool Teddie by jumping and backdashing to pull out his 2B, which you can sweep + 2C or Guillotine A for single hit but lesser damage. As for Circus bear, the moment he performs it, hi-jump and air dash as fast as you can. You can also get closer to him when he launches items. Don't rely too much in your DP thou and I always suggest you keep your range, 2C if he gets in 5B range and block, you may get Asterios hit but Teddie will be open for counter combo, if he blocks prepare your Bs and Cs for starting pressure, You can either use a train knuckle to keep the spacing, a buffalo hammer with company of 5B > 2B then start mashing guillotine A, You can also play baiting from this, after the 5B, 2B then sweep and in company of the fastest as possible 236C. Quick escape at the end or DP-cancel, and if you have some meter, and blocks your DP, he thinks it will be safe to counter, Super Cancel by 236236C or 214214A for a 2-3.5K counterhit depending if you're awakened or not.

The most important thing in this matchup is the start, you have to first strike on him, if you can't avoid him getting the first strike. Otherwise he will duck in the corner throwing items and waiting for your attack. Do it successfully and start baiting his attacks.
