It's one of the worse match-up for Liz. As I main Liz, I have a hard time dealing with Mitsuru poke, and her thrusting special can stop Thanatos from damaging her on the ground. Bufula can be used to stop Liz from gaining her momentum. Liz may use j.B which you can use 2.B or shoryuken to counter.
Liz is surely don't want you to get close, so every zoning tool is at her disposal. If Mitsuru can get close, don't let this chance pass by, pressure her with everything you got, Liz can't stay defensive for too long, cause she has lowest stamina and her move set is no match for Mitsuru's in close quarter combat.
One last thing, remember that Thanatos means almost everything to Liz, if he is out-cold, this is you sweet chance to finish the game.

If you're in mid range, I find SB Bufula to be guite effective, if you're up for spending some meter.
