Sup guys. I don't live in Chicago, I live in Nebraska... but due to our proximity, I want to let you know I'm alive and that I want to play this game aaaaaand that I'm willing to experience the horrors of Netplay with anyone so interested. Game's looking fun, that's all I care about.

    Blipping the radar!

I'm mainly gonna try to get in some KOF XIII games, but probably SFxT and UMvC3 as well.
I'm trying to make it to EVO and KOFXIII will be my main game.

Yeah, that'd be awesome if P4A was here.
I own SCV but have yet had a chance to put time into playing it.
I also own Mortal Kombat but I'm behind at least 3+ balance updates.lol.
I still need to KOF 13. It's a good game. I might try SFXT if it's at anime Central. too bad P4A won't be at Acen this year thanks to the release date. SC5 good you should play it. And cool, i'm going to EVO too. I'm entering Mk9 and Sc5. You need to get into Mk9. It's so awesome.

Yeah, KOF XIII is really fun. I like that it's an honest game that requires your own skill to win.

The characters I used in MK9 were Liu-Kang and Jade. I really liked Liu-Kang's fundamentals and he fits my playstyle. Jade is pretty fun to use. I gotta see what was nerfed/buffed when I get the chance.

Yeah, it probably would be a good time to practice SCV. I'm interested in Natsu atm but probably will like other characters too.
Are you entering any of the tournaments at Acen?
    Here's the tourney list

If I enter KOF or anything else, it'll depend on other events going on.
There's a lot of guests I'm looking forward to meeting this year.

Well Natsu got nerfed in the newest patch, so you got a lot to learn. She isn't as easy as she used to be. And for Mk9 Jade is so hard to win with. She lacks so many tools it's not even funny. Liu is still good and I think he got a couple of buffs. Same with Jade. Here is the list of their changes in patch 1.05.

    Jade
    • All of Jade's Enhanced Boomerangs (Reboomerang) will now return when the first hit is blocked.
    • Jade’s Staff Grab is slightly safer when blocked.
    • Jade’s U3 attack (Pole Vault) can be ducked.
    • Jade’s 4,F3 kick (Polecat) is safer when blocked.

    Liu Kang
    • Lui Kang's Parry now can correctly give a first hit bonus!

For tourneys, I'll enter Brawl since it will be scrubby and items. I'll also enter mk9 and SC5. Not sure about UMvC3. I need a new ps3. but I'll have one before that time.

Lastly, there are some guests and the band playing there. They are good. Took some time to hear their music.

Cool, thanks for the patch notes on Liu Kang and Jade!
It looks like Jade is a little more safer than before.
Also, Liu Kang gets a better reward for parrying.
And that's cool about Natsu. I didn't play her while she was REALLY good.

And yeah, I been keeping up with the guests the whole time.
I'm really looking forward to a couple of VAs and Musicians.
I'm really hyped about Musasahi Hamauzu.

How many years have you gone to Acen?
    I've been since 2008.

I went last year with my anime club. Doing it again this with them. I'm hype for the voice of DBZ and the military dude that is showing up. There is also a lady that played the narrator in Hetilita going to be there.

    Ah, that's cool.
I went one year with my former anime club, as well.
I can't wait to get my hands on the full schedule.
I can start planning around the guest panels.

Hey guys, I'm kinda late to the party but I'm here to post and introduce myself. I'm ShinSyn, I play BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, KOF and now I'm interested in P4U. I live in the heart of the city in Chicago and I assist in hosting casuals at Nickel City for those who play BlazBlue/Arcana Heart and intend to add P4U to the roster when it releases.

If you guys are interested in getting some offline gaming going you should hit up Nickel City, they host every Saturday from 7:30PM to 2:00AM, and the venue fee is only $2.
