I wouldn't be surprised if the US release of EP PSP wound up being digital-only, because that would spare them manufacturing costs while still being compatible with the Vita, where because of Golden they know they're going to have a fair number of Persona devotees to sell to.

from what i've seen I was hoping P2 EP would be a little more "new" I don't mean the well actually I do you know how iN p3p youhave that atmoshphere ish.. 3D style well I was hoping that in p2 Ep since i've already played IS that it would be BAM out there, I can get over the fact it's like transitioning from playing p1 then you assume that when you play p2 you still would have to walk around like your in a maze. but in p2 you don't different for each one I know but it's a wish that hopefully won't Dim, the cutscenes were awesome and the VA was on point, collecting personas were especially challenging since it kind of favored grinding for cards. Hopefully in the new version obtaining rare personas won't be too hard.

Hmm...well, i am a Japanese here and i've played P2:Eternal Punishment. It's a good game, and Tatsuya's side story is available to play. The game has just released earlier last year in Japan, and i doubt the English ver will be released. ATLUS US said nothing about the release about the English ver, if they do, it will take another year. However, i believe Eternal Punishment will not be released in English version because i heard that you can buy the game (which is Ps1 ver) in PlayStationStore?
Plus, Persona 2 lack of VA. I know Troy Baker (Kanji Tatsumi's VA) voiced for Eikichi Mishima in the remake of Innocent Sin. But since Eikichi is no longer the main priority in Eternal Punishment, i doubt they will have any good VA left for the game. Persona 1 and 2 doesn't have that fully voiced dialog system yet like Persona 3 and 4.
Anyways, if ATLUS US do plan for a release of Eternal Punishment English ver, i would like to try playing it!
For those who haven't heard, there's an official confirmation that the PSP version will not be released in North America, with the PS1 original instead getting released as a PSOne Classic. An Atlus USA employee posted on NeoGAF a bit ago saying that a blog post explaining why will go up in a couple of weeks.

Damn...well at least we get the ps1 classic, but still damn. I might just import the remake, I know enough Japanese to get through it. Kinda ironic. At first we only had EP with the origional release, now we only have IS with the remake lol
