対空投げが脅威なので相手が自由に動ける時にジャンプするのは比較的リスクが高い。
落雷に気をつけつつ基本であるジオを撒いて自分のペースでゆっくり戦うのが良さそう。
感電状態でも2a+cの小ジャンプは可能なので相手に投げられてしまうと焦って地上技で暴れてばかりなのは 危険。
落ち着いて小ジャンプjbで迎撃、移動距離の長い空中b奮迅やd電光石火で距離を取るなど自分から行動の幅 を狭めないようにしよう。
空中からのコマンド投げや長いjb飛び込みなどは反応できれば昇竜や2bで対処可能。
空中コマンド投げのモーションだと完全に見えたならしゃがんでかわしてから落ち着いて反撃がリターンが高い 、はず。
相手の覚醒spスキルのダメージは非常に高いため、相手が覚醒spスキルが出せる時はより慎重に動くように したい。
場合によっては体力有利を維持しつつタイムアップを狙い、相手が焦れて突っ込んできたところを狙うのもひと つの手。
相手側のりせちーがうるさく言ってきても気にしない。
完二の逆切れがかなりうざいので、高確率でコスるやつに対しては、5cや2cを押し付けてやるとおとなしく なる。
Attempting to clean up the translation with what I know of the matchup
- Jumping in neutral is unsafe because of his anti-air grab special
- Best way to fight him is to control the ground game using lighting for zoning (I guess it works because Kanji is slow, but if he's close he may be able to air command grab you and punish)
- Press buttons if paralyzed. Don't let him hit you for free. Also use short hop to avoid grabs and punish.
- DP jump ins, full screen air-to-ground command grabs, and 2B (duh?)
- Crouch the air-to-ground command grab and punish for big damage
- Awakening Super does a lot of damage, be careful
- In general, be patient. You have good normals, abuse them.
- His DP is annoying as fuck
Ah, thanks for that. And I pretty much agree with everything on the list. I definitely seems to be in Yu's favor :J
I would say it's even-ish. It looks similar to Ky v Potemkin.
Basically, once Kanji gets in, it's a guessing game that's not in your favor. If he guesses right you eat a lot of damage and get put back in the guessing game (even worse if he paralyzes you), and if you guess right, the reward is usually low and you just start the "stay the fuck out" game again. He has a lot of tools to get in (his dive looks really good for punishing bad zoning), and Yu's projectile game is meh. The matchup will most likely be trying to keep him at the tip of your B normals and poking out what little damage you can. Not to say that that won't be really effective, it's just that Kanji is a good character.
It looks really similar to Ragna/Jin v Tager as well. Kind of a standard matchup of character with great normals vs grappler.

Hmm, I see. I've been paying more attention to Narukami's combos and tools so much I haven't been looking at his matchups at all. Thanks a lot, it's really helpful!
I'm seeing where the translation goes. This isn't necessarily a bad matchup for Yu, more an annoying one where you have to be extremely patient and just work at chipping away via the Kanji players mistakes. You can only really afford to make 2-3 mistakes this whole match.

I've been getting boided really bad in this matchup. The whole zoning thing doesn't seem to work for me, it's so slow and undamaging and then they make a correct read and put you in a guessing game for huge damage. If you use your 5B too much, he can start DPing it from even max range on reaction since the shock travels through your sword.
It's by far my hardest matchup.
