Well with all the different routes i'd say it's all about whether or not you really want to go through another playthrough since the different endings are worth playing, and it kinda sucks how little time you have to do the bonus battles, as the exact same thing happened to me as well in my second playthrough and I ended up having to write all of them down and kept checking to make sure I didn't miss any my third time through.

Also multi-strike is known to be a pretty cheap move for characters with high strength and agility, as I can remember running a team of like Keita, Wu Kong and one other character and Keita+Wu Kong basically owned up everyone who didn't have phys repel before they could do anything.

True. I just don't want to overplay it and find the story tedious or anything.
I probably will start playing it again today. At least I am using my DS again. Without these games, I probably wouldn't even be playing it at all.

Well, what I meant was that I didn't have enough points to unlock the battle with Nebiros and therefore, Belial and Alice.
I tried fighting Sage of Time, Lilith, and Beelzebub (all solo), and that didn't work out too well. I doubt it would be much different if I brought my allies with me. They would have died a lot and I was going for the Unkillable title.

Yeah, I gave Multi-Strike to Hinako. At level 99 she has 40 Strength and 40 Agility, although I didn't use her when she had those stats. I stopped using her after I got Otome.

Yeah I know what you mean that kinda happened to me with the original and I found after I played through a few times I got bored at points, since I was just trying to get all the endings.

I've been mulling it over for a few days. Decided to ask some people, read a few reviews, and read whatever people said.

Consensus was Devil Survivor 2 was a really good game, so I decided to pick it up.

I decided to go with this one since I have a DS and don't have a 3DS, so DS1 Overclocked wasn't an option. I didn't really plan to get DS1 anyway with DS2.

Good decision? Bad decision?

And there's another SMT game to finish... Luckily I just finished my first on Tuesday.

I don't think it was a bad descision, since you don't have to have played the first game to enjoy the second and I don't feel like 2 isn't all that much better than the original, then add in the additions made to Overclocked it's still definitly worth playing when you get the chance.

Well, I never played Overclocked, but I did play the non-3DS version of the first game and I really liked it.
They are both great games. I would definitely recommend both/either.
