As expected about 12 out of 20 matches in ranked were Mitsuru. And not even good, mostly just auto-combo so most were free wins. What about everyone else, what was your experience with ranked like? (Besides bad netcode)

A Narukami who kept waking up grab or Izanagi go-cart. an Akihiko who kept doing thunder fists when I would recover and kept getting owned by my Chie's Bicycle kicks and lost both rounds to wake up sweeps. He also did the auto combo to often.
pretty much three easy wins for me, I have only played like 5 matches cause I can't stand that bad netcode right now.

I do see alot of auto combos from some people, Chie's though I can't really blame them for using it, it's pretty damn godlike (doesn't know how to play with her and won every match that I picked her for fun on) I did see alot of Mitsuru's though. I also fought a really akward Yu who kept doing a ton of random slides, and overheads, I was a bit confused at first but caught on quickly.
I can't wait for day1 custom combo netplay next month D:

So I got the game today, started learning the Way of the SWAG (Narukami).
My online experiences have been...interesting to say the least. Most of the people I've faced in Ranked are Akihiko and Chie autocombo mashers. Also went into player match and fought a bunch of scrubby Yosukes and some Aigis players who actually took the time to learn her shit.
My top three hated characters right now are Yukiko, Naoto, and Yosuke. Yosuke is stupidly easy to mash with, and Naoto and Yukiko are super-trolly with their zoning games. I was also trolled by their instant kills (Naoto's is fucking stupid and almost impossible to dodge, and Yukiko's is like the only really practical one as it comes out the fastest and has a huge hitbox). EVERYONE tries going for IKs online.
Speaking of Yukiko, I ran into a C+ ranked Yukiko who has obviously had the game early for quite some time who went into the player room I was in an trolled the shit out of everyone with both Yukiko and Kanji. The host got so fucking salty because he couldn't play anyone that he kicked him.

I don't think Naoto, or Yukiko players are really trying to troll, they are zoning. Trying to keep the opponent from advancing on top of them so they don't get raped. It's kind of fun to me to try and force my opponent to play my game, to see if I can react properly, and control the match to how I want it to go. I played Yu for about 5 seconds, and could tell how easy and basic he was. He doesn't have to try nearly as hard as a Yukiko, or Naoto player to try and get damage/be effective. He kinda just gets in there and does his thing.
Now I do say that I'm a bit annoyed by Yosuke for being so fast, it's really hard to keep him out, and Yukiko being a keep away character has a really hard time doing just that when he moves that fast, and gets safe and effective block strings just by hitting square over and over again. But I'll work around that weakness soon enough.
When playing online early in a games life, you must take advantage of the great fun you can have.

needless to say, I've been having a ball.
I hope to do this with every character to simultaneously get the "play every character online" and "get an IK with each character online" achievments.
