Its been years, but what I do remember is in one of the early days theres an optional midori scene before she joins your party, view it and you see her teaching a Jack Frost about the power of love. Much later in the game (Day 5 or 6 I believe) there should be a battle event that displays blackfrost's picture. I've beaten this game 6 times and don't regret the amount of time I spent in it. Afterwards I bought Strange Journey and was disappointed to hell and back.

Devil Survivor Overlocked and 2 are supposed to be pretty good. Nothing ground breaking, but good additions to the franchise.
On that note: It will be getting published for the PAL Region by Ghostlight.
So it'll be more easily accessible for European and other such fans of SMT.
Not sure what areas PAL covers.

I actually just heard the voices from Overclocked on their website, and...
Let's just say I'm kinda glad I played the original.
Maybe it's just since I didn't have voice acting I had my own interpretation of what their voices sound like,
but I don't know, I don't really like the voice acting. They just didn't seem to fit to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the skill you need is Megidolaon, in my case that was the last one that I needed and you don't really get many chances to get it. Also yeah I haven't played Overclocked either but i've heard bits of the voice acting and I also feel like it was rather subpar, based on what i've heard.

Actually, I'm missing an Auto skill.
I think people who haven't played the original will like it better, though. The compendium and 8th day are pretty cool, though, but the voices just kill it for me.
Also, I just want to say, nice username. I literally just typed "baccano" elsewhere on the internets right before I check this thread. Sorry, that was awkwardly written and vague :/
Okay, I see and yeah I think Overclocked is more for people who didn't play the original or wanted a somewhat more refined game with the additions of the Compendium and such, i've also heard from people that the 8th day endings were more complete and satisfying than the original endings.
Also thank you for the complement, sometimes i'm surprised at the positive reactions I get to the name so thank you very much.

I'm on my last playthrough of this game--not particularly beating anyone's routes since I've beaten them all but going for the extra boss. Decided to go with Naoya's route since I like this particular ending and I like the characters that you get for this run. But I've been stuck on this playthrough for... what almost two years now? Probably that much. Not like--stuck-stuck. Just stuck because I don't feel like playing, and my DS is kind of breaking which also furthers my reason not to play. D: I want to get the 2nd one though...
