He's not "gay" since he's clearly still attracted to girls, but you could definitely make the argument he's bi. They purposely left it up for interpretation.

How bad were Kanji's nerfs in 1.02? He seemed like a monster in 1.01
After watching the cmv, I reached the conclusion that Kanji needs to burn alot of meter to deal scary damage.
While characters such as Mitsuru and Aigis... not so much.
