    Here's a question:

There's EX moves in this game - I mostly see EX coup and EX mirror. Against who and when should I use EX Mirror? I was thinking full screen neutral situations against players or characters that want to stay full screen. (Yukiko, Liz)

But are there any rules about where Mirror appears? Something seems off...
sb droit = extremely fast move, helps hitconfirm near corner, and good for stabilizing otherwise very difficult combos (near corner throw > slide 5AA 5B gets much easier if you do near corner throw > sb droit > whatever)

sb bufula = primarily setplay tool.

c bufula always appears slightly in front and above mitsuru, d bufula is in front of her, sb is about 2/3 of screen away, coming in. c is one hit freeze, d is 3, sb is 5, all hits of d and sb will always freeze, but c has the potential not to freeze if you go over the freeze limit (3 outside of certain exceptions) beforehand

btw id say mitsuru's mixups/offense is rather strong....

I usually do it when I get a 2B combo midscreen and I know it'll end too far away from the corner to go for a reset. There's a specific distance where if you combo them into the corner but hold back on the B Coup, you can use EX Mirror afterwards and it'll show up just behind them, offscreen. It'll slowly travel towards you and hit them from behind, which gives you a chance to hit them with j.B or whatever else you want. It's really range-specific (if you're too close the mirror will be too far away and they'll probably hit you before it comes on-screen) and mostly a gimmick but it catches some people off-guard.

You can also do it after a (counter-hit) DP > Bufudyne, but you have to sweep feint once first to adjust the range. It always shows up in the same place on screen, it's just a specific distance you kind of get used to after a while. Eventually you'll get a sense of when the opponent is in range and when they're not. It's just short of full screen, about the same as the max range on 5D.
    clarification on this

you should never use sb bufula if the mirror will be offscreen (unless there's some godly shit that i dont know) because it doesn't hit meaty, opponent can dash/jump/hit buttons/quick escape/whatever they want. i don't recommend it. however, it's excellent midscreen.

after dp > bufudyne, you actually have to do two sweep feints to get in position, and that makes it too slow. instead, do A droit > sb bufula and you'll get in the right position fast enough (again, it has to be midscreen)

Oh fuck you're right, that was my mistake. I remembered doing it midscreen off Bufudyne and for some reason the only thing that came to mind was DP > super. It's off the 2B combo if you end it with Sweep > Bufudyne.

And yeah the mirror thing is completely unsafe. That's what I mean by 'it's mostly a gimmick'. I guess I should have clarified that :x

Every time I've tried EX bufula and it was off screen I got hurt.

That clears up a lot - thanks!

I've seen some interesting stuff involving D Bufula and quick escape to sandwich your opponent. Ive been trying it in the lab and I cant seem to get it to work. Should I just stick to SB Bufula for sandich pressure?

I guess i'll stick to SB Bufula for all that stuff then.

And here I thought it would be really good pressure-wise.

tbh i dont quite see what you mean

do you want them to get mixed up when you roll? that won't work cause of autoguard, but if you want to get to the other side for one reason or another, you can do that

I was going to use it to mix them up after rolling. But if I cant really do that, then that's a big disappointment. Damn Autoguard.

Ionno if anyone already mentioned this, or it was just common knowledge and I'm super late to the party, but the game can read a 236 input as a charge release and a qcf motion simultaneously. This has greatly helped me in my execution in combos, particularly when it comes to Droit into a super cancel.

For example, let's take a very basic combo: 5AA 5B 5C A Droit B Myriad Arrows. All this time my notation would look like this: 5AA 5B [4C] 6A 236236B. I had probably around a 70% success rate with super canceling, so it's very do-able to combo like this, but it definitely has already bitten me in the ass in tournament play failing to super cancel and thus not securing the KO.

    Today, I've started doing 5AA 5B [4C] 236A 236B. And I'm pretty much up to a 99% execution rate in training mode.

Just thought I'd share since I've always had random issues doing double qcf super cancels in fighting games

That helps make things simpler for me, thanks.
Though I never really have any problems with charging.
