We can start by avoiding idle chatter

Well to move on to the more serious points.

Not sure if Yu should be playing air to air against Liz because she could just use Thanatos to grab him (JD). Up close is fine since the startup isn't exactly that fast, but I'm specifically referring to air dashing towards her.

She also has a very good AA (2B), and it will into extremely good damage, especially on FC and if you're in the corner (We're talking 5K+).

I do not think it is a good idea for Yuu to use Zio either since Liz could nullify it with her Maziodyne if she's far, and she'll hit Izanagi in the process since he's out for too long. I'm pretty sure I saw a player nullify it with her JB too.

Pressure her till your hearts content. She's quite bad under pressure, especially if alot of jump cancels are used, since her R-Action and Memento Mori lose to them.

I agree, and considering how much damage Narukami can do in one combo, Liz seems to fall short against him

Dat low health doesn't help, so ideally you'd want to be close to her at all times. She can zone you fairly easily, but once you get in, make sure you try to stay in.

Players need to be careful with using swift strike on block too. If Liz IBs it, it's free fear + paralysis infliction. Be careful that you don't burst during Thanatos' attacks too. unless Liz is really close. Liz is most likely to be quite far from you during her combos, and so the likely case is that you won't hit Liz away and she'll reset you for free.

I'm sure this is just an observation but from the matches I've seen, especially the Naru vs Kaqn match up I've seen recently, Thanatos is fairly easy to hit because of it's hit-box and the duration it stays out on the field. Yu can smack Thanatos if he manages to avoid it's advances and Persona Break Elizabeth...
though I'm not sure how much help that will be, depends on the player, I suppose.

I find it good to use moves like 214 C/D or j.214 A/B to close in on Elizabeth. Although you have to know when to use them because those moves are not safe on block. I find 1 more cancels should help if you end up reading her wrong though and after you closed the distance you can go for the sweep into oki.

Apparently, according to a Dustloop member, you can use 214C/D to slide under Maziodyne (the beam). For combo applications, you'll need to use a One More Cancel/Burst.

Yes you can. It's also a free hit into super if you time it correctly with the D version. From there it should be a little easier to apply pressure since Liz players would tend to be a bit hesitant to use the beam again
