Characters being in a good place didn't stop ASW in the past to change them around anyway. I honestly don't think there's much to discuss because anything can happen. lol

At the same time though, they've likely been following from players what needs buffing, what could use some nerfs, and they'll likely adjust the things that really need tweaks. Some characters might not even be touched at all even, and hopefully not because of the fact by the time the game gets re balanced, it'll of only been 3 months. Id much rather them do it like this and do small balance tweaks often then wait a while and do some huge revision like CS2 and CSEX.
Poor, Poor Tsubaki...
Anyways, I'm hoping Yu doesn't get nerfed much, he's a little too good right now sure, but he's still VERY near being a very balanced character, with good pressure and meh damage with risky mix-ups. They should just keep him the way he is mostly, I'm not sure what they could really nerf about him though without gimping him.

I'm of the mind ASW doesn't like Tsubaki...
Or any of the military academy girls. But they are known for buffing things that really don't need it too much, or nerfing characters that don't need it either. I mean, if they're going to apply fixes in P4U it would be nice to see some damage be trimmed on some of the more irrational things.
I'm kind of sorry, but when I first saw Mitsuru I knew she was going to be a bit over the top: Ivy like whip sword grabs, Freezing technique, and long fast strikes with that rapier? I hadn't expected Chie to be so powerful, to be honest. :x I thought her abilities were going to be much more modest in the damage area.
Personally, I'm of the mind rush-down style characters shouldn't have a ton of damage just steady combos that link well. Probably why I enjoyed CS2 Tsubaki...

I'm pretty sure we're all hoping Mitsuru is nerfed to hell and Akihiko is buffed. Chie and Kanji need to be toned down a tad as well although they mainly just have one or two really good moves which can be used almost all the time. They're nowhere near as broken as Mitsuru who can just spam 5A and win 90% of her matches.

No nerfing to hell, just slight nerfs.
*Repressed memories of CS1 Rachel*
Let's go godtier Akihiko!
I wonder if this will be the last update, or whether console release will get new stages, balance etc?
Also FGC drama is the lifeblood of the FGC, you've just gotta roll with it and enjoy the ride :P
Play Third Strike, its a good game.
Oh no drama, if anything, I thought the reason the first thread got locked was hilarious tbqh, story mode canon=top tier Mitsuru. Lawl.
Now then, on the note of Mitsuru, it's a bit early to just nerf her to hell as it were. Does she need a nerf or two? Perhaps but I don't think some large hardcore nerf is called for. I won't pretend I know Mitsuru well enough to say "well nerf this outright" but she is a hard character to nerf. Her normals are just built to be very very good. Maybe damage might be the solution, but she's a character who I can't see being other than really good or really bad. Then there's the matter of Chie, the other person everyone seems to want nerfed. Honestly the only thing I would change about her is more recovery on her meteor super and if possible, changing her fatal move, but even Chie isn't deserving of the huge nerfs everyone is calling for.
The only changes I'd suggest for Chie are to increase the recovery on her R-Action, lower her damage output and make her Awakening Super less stupid.
Note that I said lower her damage output, not nerf her combo potential. The combos aren't the issue it's the damage.
From what I've seen and heard, Naoto is in a pretty good position at the moment so I hope they don't change her too much. I will play her as long as they don't nerf everything about her and make her gameplay revolve around Hamoan/Mudoon instant kills.
