Me thinks the blockstun from Mitsuru's R action to her super is not as great as people make it out to be though. People are supposedly QEing past it after she lands from the R action, and you could likely reverse R action when she lands and tries to do the super (of course I can't say that for sure without solid frame data on it so take it with a grain of salt.) I guess the only logical change to the set up though would be decreased block stun from it if the frame data suggests it's so good though.

I still think the idea of DP's cancelling into supers is kinda lame as well. I mean, a DP is supposed to be a high risk option to get you out of trouble. It shouldn't be a free mixup opportunity if someone successfully baits it. :V

I haven't been watching too many vids so maybe I have the wrong idea. But I have seen quite a few people get blasted by the DP, Super Cancel.

I personally think people are blowing it out of proportion. I mean, super-cancelling still requires 50 meter, so it's not like it automatically reduces the risk for the whole match. Furthermore, the supers I've seen players cancel into are mostly unsafe on block, so to make it totally safe would require 100 meter. So, although whoever used it doesn't get punished, they've lost resources in exchange.
Yeah, people do often get hit by a super-cancelled R-Action, but there are also examples of that tactic failing, followed by whoever used it getting punished. So, ultimately, it can catch people off-guard, but it's no get-out-of-jail-free card.

There's ways around some of the DP Cancels, like you can run under Yu's DP if you block it and run under before he does it.

Yeah, I'm sure there's ways around it. Like how PhoenonX said people can just dash under Yu's DP. But unless it's like that for all DP's, I still don't like the idea of that mechanic..... especially for a game that encourages offense. Maybe I'll change my mind when I actually play the game though (or hopefully they change the mechanic before console).

At least this is like the only complaint I really have for this game. So maybe that's a good thing as well. lol.

TBH, DP>Super cancel isn't a big enough issue to warrant a system change. It creates a meta-game, yes, but it's not a strong enough meta-game to shut down others.

It gives them options and you as well with a higher chance of reward than them. If they want to spend the meter to do it and you dodge roll or dash under, then that's a FC combo for 50%(?). If they hit you, you take 1500 to 3k.

You take less damage than they do which means the meta-game is in your favor unless it the last it's down to the last hit of the game. Then it's a 50/50 meta-game on both sides.

I agree. A blocked DP will still be in your favor. But even so, it really destroys the beauty of amazing reads like this www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvG-nyhByrc&t=12m22s .

I'm not exactly saying that this a serious problem, because it's not (just to clarify). I'm gonna play the game regardless, so it's whatever. But the mechanic definitely doesn't add to the game's appeal. That's mostly what I'm getting at.

Those aren't problems. Those are strategies.

Since you put it that way. You should play this game. It is the King of all strategies. :P

lol, ok I'm done. With that aside, I'm pretty much looking forward to this patch. Since this is the first balance change (I think?), it'll be interesting to see how they handle everything. Hoping they'll just make minor nerfs to the strong characters, and simply buff the weaker characters. I'll be sad if Mitsuru gets hit with too many nerfs. :[

I'm curious if they'll actually do anything with Liz at all, since she's only going to have been out/playable for like a month or so by the time the patch apparently comes out.
