Hey guys, so today I wanted to make a little thread over a business endeavor I'm partaking on. Now albeit, maybe I'm overstepping my bounds here but I figure I'm allowed to make a selfish request every now and then. Soba who some of you may of met is currently trying to create a Visual Novel (see thread name for title) using a program called Kickstarter. Basically how it works, if you raise the goal, your backers get charged and you're approved to start working on the project.

I hope you guys don't mind my making this thread but I'm excited to see if this can succeed and I figured I'd help her out any small way I can. Who knows, if they can make a VN about cripples, then maybe MM can have one too :3.

Nobody thinks 10G's by May is a little too ambitious for a first project? How much experience with development or Ren'Py does anyone on the team have?

First I want to deeply thank Trig for posting this even though I know it has nothing to do with this site's regular operations.

Yes I know 10k sounds like alot but this is actually quite costly endeavor (it's costing 1.5k just to get the finalized character designs & base portraits done, there's also another 1.5k being spent on producing the physical items that some of the backer rewards grant. Also I want to have the game fully voiced, and CG illustrations are pricey too)

I've been working with Ren'Py on and off for about 3 years, the program is quite powerful and user friendly, so I'm pretty confident in this area (although I always welcome help of any and all kind).

This project is ambitious because it has been something I've been putting into for about a decade now, and due to certain circumstances, this might be my last chance to pursue it, so I approached it with a "go for broke" attitude. If I had more relilable friends I probably could have asked for about half what I am now, but as it currently stands 90% of the resources are completed through commission. I am putting my heart and soul into this, and make it or not, I'm happy for all the support I've received.
